Li and Fung Foundation

The Li & Fung Foundation is a non-profit organization that supports education and youth development in China. The foundation was established in 2000 by Li & Fung, one of the world's leading suppliers of apparel and textile products.


Introduction

This multi-day event was organized by the Li & Fung Foundation together with Upmood, an emotion sensing solution suite that helps individuals and organizations to understand and manage their emotions. The event featured a series of workshops that focused on teaching participants how to use Upmood's technology to better understand their emotions, as well as offering tips on how to manage them through different interventions.



5-Day Wellness Experience

For 5 days, Fung Group employees had the chance to attend lunchtime activities hosted by different healthcare professionals. It began with a panel to talk about well-being, why it's important in the workplace, and share tips with employees on what it means to live healthily. Each session was about 45 minutes long and featured hands-on workshops on slow yoga, meditation, breathwork, nutrition, posture, and sleep.



Participants enjoyed each lunchtime session and walked away with a better understanding of their emotions and the effective strategies to regulate them in a professional setting.


Why Upmood?

Upmood's products presented an accessible way to introduce and educate Fung Group employees. Just putting on a band and being able to see a window into their emotions created a seamless experience for participants. Moreover, this multi-day event successfully facilitated conversations around emotional intelligence with one another and further promoted a wellness culture within the organization.


21-Day Challenge

After the 5-Day Wellness Experience, the participants were provided with the Upmood Wearable and were encouraged to use it for 21 days. It is widely believed that it takes around 21 days to form a new habit, so the aim of this challenge was to meet these 21 days. The participants were requested to complete a daily journal and individual mood reflection, and also share their reflections with colleagues to foster a sense of community and connectedness.



The event proved to be a resounding success, with the feedback received being overwhelmingly positive. Participants enjoyed using Upmood's new technology to tap into biodata in an accessible way, and many of the staff members expressed that they felt more engaged after participating in the activities.
